2 Announcement
regarding NEW MEMBERS and entering the game at Stage 4. The rule has been amended and much easier to begin at Stage 4 now. Scroll below to see 5-16-08 Announcement
New announcment by the Staff of the Magi in regards to Stage 4 and New Members (making it easier to join in for Stage 4 for new people):
"The first half is coming to an end and with it you will get a worthy reward. What that reward is will be revealed in its own time. From day one we told everyone this game is one where patience is a virtue. We wanted other players to have the opportunity to catch up and some have done a great job while others are taking their time or feel overwhelmed.
Now that the first half is over and to allow players the option of still having a chance to play along and have a shot at winning, we want to present them an option for the start of the second half. This option will require approval from ALL active players who are on the current task of "Big Shot No More".
The option is simple.
New players or returning players can pick a side to represent as they would normally and still answer the puzzle for that side. In all other respects they will be granted the first "3" contracts but will start Stage 4 with
0 points
The second half of this game will be rapid fire and very intense once it begins. We want as many people to be able to enjoy the experience as possible and feel that this would be a fair way to achieve it. Points are very important come the final stage, but DO NOT determine the winner.
We have a live online chat coming up and want to know what night is best for our players and will plan according to the majority. We can tell you now that Stage 4 will officially begin on Monday May 26. The Guardian will be more difficult this time around, and this will give players who are trying to beat the Guardian time to complete it and allows for a break in-between the first and second half. The live-event in Boston will take place in July and more will be revealed during the chat, but it seems as though something else is also taking place in July in Boston…
The truly dedicated have already expressed that they know good things are coming and you couldn't be more right. We are trying to set up a chat with the ARGNetcast if they will have us, but we will have to wait and see. If you would like to see us as guests, send them an e-mail!
Of course in the end, our goal is to entertain you and we hope that so far, we have. We have had some bumps in the road and some of that can be directly attributed to your collected puzzle solving skills which have impressed every one of us at Staff of the Magi Productions.

+5-16-08 Announcement regarding New Members for Stage 4
First off, we would like to thank the dedicated players of the game who have helped get us this far. Some of you have stayed with us, some have come and gone, and others have simply vanished. We believe that most who have left will be back way before the end of the game; quite possibly by the beginning of the next stage.
We want to help achieve this by allowing new players and returning players the opportunity to begin at the beginning of Stage Four with 0 points (or for returning players as many points as they had when they left).
Points DO NOT outright determine the winner of the game and will be used towards the end of the game.
